Default wst uzit of sweet cap??

i have found that some of these cards that looked fire damaged actually have transfers on front...usually a different back.....interesting uzit/sweet cap here

btw

seller is awesome guy and has very high quality rare t206....

I've seen a number of Sweet Caporal transfers like this one. I believe they happened long after the cards left the factory, but it's just my opinion.

Johnny, I think the ones with the 'wrong' back on the front are probably from cards being stacked on top of one another for a very long period, and with access to moisture (possibly adulterated).

I had a T206 earlier this year that had old nasty paper covering parts of the front of it. After soaking, it left bits of the Sweet Caporal logo, looking like a wet sheet transfer, even though it obviously wasn't.

I believe Tim was the first person here to hypothesize that, and he's right for at least some of them.

At the moment, here's the only one I can find:

Hey Johnny, pretty funny how yesterday I found a Piedmont back with a Sweet Caporal front wet sheet transfer. Nice card

I was surprised when that card sold for so little in Clean Sweep's recent auction. Buyer got a very nice deal.
