Default Thoughts on T206 Evers & Chance

Wondering if anyone would be willing to share their opinion on the cards on the far right of each of the scans (I included other examples for comparison). Regarding the Evers, is it missing an ink pass? He looks gaunt and the red in the horizon is much brighter as compared to the others. And the Chance...is much more orange than yellow. I'm trying to learn about these printing intricacies so any insight you would be willing to share would be greatly appreciated!

I've noticed that some of the Chance portraits have the orange in the background - my personal one is like that. They printed so many of that one, and also of the Evers, that it's not surprising to see so many slight variations.

As Scott said, you can find a wide variety of shades with the Chance yellow portrait, so there is no real extra value associated with one color or another. The Evers does look like his face is missing a little color, but again, there are a lot like that. You need one that is really missing a lot of color to be valuable, and the less color on these cards, the better. I have included a Chance red portrait that shows just how ghostly it could look next to another when it's missing more than one color, in this case grey in the jersey and color in the face

Do you think there was a Chance that the cards were Ever Tinkered with?

Scott & z28jd: Thank you for the replies and insight; I appreciate it. I don't have much experience with the T206s and I'm trying to sort through what I have, so thank you for humoring my beginner level question.

Jantz: left to right the Evers backs are SC 350 30, SC 350 30, SC 350 25. The Chance are SC 350 30, SC 350 30, SC 350-460 30.
