Large lot of A16/A17 Allen & Ginter Album Cards - Now in Brockelman Auctions!!

Neat group of 29 handcut cards that were cut from the pages of Allen & Ginter premium albums. They feature the same lithography, but are printed on a slightly thinner stock of paper and are all blank-backed. All are original to the period and were issued at the same time the actual cards were released. Highlights from this group include HOFer John Ward as well as a complete set of cut-outs from the n29 boxing cards. All are in terrific shape as well.

I'm not sure if you know, or care, but what you seem to be describing in your for-sale post are A16 and A17s that have been cut from their original pages. A web search for "Allen and Ginter" and "A16" or "A17" will provide you with more details. They do look like N28/29s with a blank back and thinner paper.

Yep, agreed. I probably should have listed them as A16 or A17s, although I did describe them as "...handcut cards that were cut from the pages of Allen & Ginter premium albums..." which is a pretty decent description of what A16s and A17s are....
