Default Cards of players that never played for pictured team

Sweet Lou has 3 rookie cards. However, the Indians were the only team that he actually played for.

Preacher Roe retired before stepping on the mound for the O's.

Can anyone please help with any more?

Interesting thread - pretty sure that '69 Pilots Rookies card is a two-fer as Staehle never played for Seattle/Milwaukee either.

1964 Topps Gene Conley for one. He had a sore arm, did not make the team out of spring training, tried a couple of minor league starts and retired.

Cleveland Indians card but never played for them

1962 Topps Robin Roberts with the Yankees. He was on the team, but never got into a game before going to the Orioles.

None of these guys ever played a game for the Cardinals despite their baseball card team designation. Those TCMA cards are Jim McKnight and Fritz Ackley.

A couple of Cubs that come to mind, Jablonski was traded to the Giants in April of 1957 and Mantilla blew out his Achilles tendon in spring training of 1967.
