Topps 1971
I think Darren may have started a thread or made some posts on the Topps 1971 action shot cards. The latest issue of SCD has an article on the 1971 set by John McMurray entitled "Lights, Camera, Action ! " that focuses on the 52 game action shots in the set ( the author excludes the 14 post season cards in his count). The article breaks the discussion into subsets
Plays at the Plate...2 Horizontal batting poses....4 Vertical Batting poses...22 Middle Infield Plays ...5 General Fielding poses....3 Other poses...5 Pitching poses 11 The article only includes actual game action shots and not cards with staged action, such as Didier catching a pop up or Kaline swinging.
