Default SGC Invoice Tracking question

I submitted my first SGC batch that was received June 1. This was a May special that had a 15 business day turn around (I know that this isn't guaranteed).

I used the invoice tracking page (daily, as I'm over-anxious), and noticed a few days ago that the grade went from "NOT GRADED" (or perhaps "NO GRADE") to "" (empty... no text). This happened right about at the 15 day period. What is the general experience using this tool?

Also note that I have not received a single email from SGCs "system" related to my invoice. I did contact them directly about a week after my submission arrived at which point it was confirmed that it was received... but I had expected a pro-active email telling me of this, rather than a reactive one. Does their system generally send emails when a submission is received and then again once the grades are available?

no emails is the norm, going from "NOT GRADED" to blank just means your grades are about to pop... everything is fine, just keep checking.

Actually when the cards go from "Not Graded" to blank, that means the cards already popped. When you see actual grades, that means the cards have been marked as shipped.

If you're really anxious to see what your grades are, create an SGC set registry. See my post in the SGC message board in the Registry section for more information.

There is a period between the blank stage and when they show you what grades you received that they are reflected in the pop reports, so if you know what the pop report was prior to your cards then you can determine the grades you received.

When the column goes from Not Graded to blank, it means the cards have been through grading and are either in encapsulation or back in grading for the proofing stage. As was pointed out, when grades become visible, it is confirmation that the order has been shipped. Some orders are experiencing slight delays right now, but those should be cleaned up by the beginning of next week.

As for the e-mail notifications, some users receive them and others do not. This is an issue that we are aware of and will work to fix. Ideally, you should receive an e-mail upon receipt and upon shipping. As always, if you do not receive these e-mails and have any questions about your order at any time, feel free to call or e-mail us and we'll be happy to help.

Thank you,

Brian Dwyer
