Default Opinions on Koufax Ball

I've had this for a while, almost afraid to ask, does it look good?
Thanks

Not an expert on Koufax by any means but this actually looks ok to me.

I don't think it is authentic. The two things that stand out the most to me, the S doesn't look right and it looks way too loopy IMO.

I'm trying to compare it to PSA/DNA examples but none of them look the same.

I do not like this ball either. The S is a horror and have never seen one quite like it.

Agree about the S. Too fancy, or at least fancier than I've ever seen. He took his time signing mine back in 89 and it was nowhere near like this.

If memory serves, this signature is very reminiscent of the fake Koufax's on the B&J Collectibles No Hit King Balls. Very loopy going out of the "a," into and out of the "o"...

That's strang, neither of those examples show any hint of the 'd' in Sandy.

The ball looks fine to me. I would buy with confidence.

Though the S might be a little out of the norm, the rest of the signature is consistent.

That's what I was thinking. His 'S' isn't always consistent, but the rest looks pretty much spot on.

Six say no and two say yes. Now you think it is real. What does it take to make you think it is not.

Here's the deal, and I would tell this to anyone. If you like it and you're convinced it's real, go for it. Nobody can tell you 100 percent that anything is real or bogus unless they saw it signed. However, there's a very high probability that it's not real. If you aren't planning on reselling it and you can look at it in your collection and be happy with it, the more power to you. Good luck to you.

Mike, I think he said he owned it.If not I sure would look to buy another Koufax that has no problems.

With all due respect to HOFAUTOS, but what about the signature looks consistent? It looks way to loopy to me and everybody seems to be in agreement about the S looking off. Not only off but it doesn't even look close to the actual formation of an authentic Koufax.

It never even accrued to me that it was fake, I've had it for 20+ years. But I was thinking of selling it along with a Feller, Gibson, B. Robinson, and Bunning. The Koufax is the only one I didn't see signed so I figured I'd ask before I try and sell.

You all know better then I do. But when I look at other examples I have a hard time seeing consistencies. Either way it's not the end of the world.
