Default Question for the coin collectors

For baseball cards, there are many options regarding grading companies. Within the hobby, though, collectors generally narrow these options down to just a few. PSA is the clear leader regarding number of items graded and resale value. Other solid choices are SGC, Beckett, and CSG/CGC.

Is there an analog to this in the coin collecting hobby?

My preliminary research leads me to believe PCGS is the front-runner, with NGC being second. I'm sure others know much more than I, though. Looking for opinions before I start a small project.

Pretty much nailed it, although many do not discount NGC holders much, as with cards the coin and not the holder matter the most. ANACS might be a distant third.
