Default 1971 Kelloggs short prints

I've been working diligently on completing a 1971 Kelloggs set (variations and cracks certainly don't help)

My question is, has anyone concluded if there are short prints in the set? I've never seen any listed anywhere, but it really seems that the cards in the lower numbers, particularly in the teens, are much harder to find than those in the higher numbers. There are some individual "common" cards that rarely show up anywhere.

Any thoughts?

Interesting. I am working on my second EXMT or better with no cracks set (almost there), and actually throwing together an imperfect set as well along the way. I haven't noticed a particular pattern numerically in difficulty (of course, they're all hard in nice shape). Sanguillen, Alou, are two that come to mind as more difficult for me, but I don't think they are in the lower numbers. Would be interested to hear from a couple of the experts out there.

But hey, good luck with your set, one of the great ones IMO.

Hello: Ref: 1971 Kellogg's BB Set. The Master Set is at 194 cards (117 "Dated" on the back and 77 "Undated" on back.
If you only want to collect all the variations ( and don't care about " Dated vs Undated" then the set totals 123 cards.

I found in my opinion the following to be the toughest : # 7 Alou ( 1970 OAK NL), # 72 Colbert (Hits 279 ), this was the last variation reported a few years ago . And # 28 Wright comes 3 ways : Angels Crest SO 280, Cal St Logo SO 280 and Cal St Logo SO 284.

Default 1971 Kelloggs

found this on the net. Suggests that there should not be SPs.

SP's are the variations. Not issued in the same quantity.
