A rare borderless T206
Now I don't want a bidding war. I contacted the vendor and he said that he was unfamilar with T206s. He said he will change the listing. $25 minimum bid? No mention of trimming but he points out the writing on the back. He also has at least one more trimmed T206 listing. The funny thing is is that he also has a T206 listing with the borders in tact.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1909-11-T206...item3ccb5d2aab To the vendor's credit, he added a "trimmed" caveat and lowered the minimum to $7.00...good for him. Last edited by Bocabirdman; 10-07-2012 at 03:14 PM. Reason: Vendor made a change for the better. |

trimmed?
Mike,
This card isn't trimmed. This is one of the rare Sweet Caporal cards that was produced to fit in a narrower package of crayons. This explains the crayon marks on the back of the card. It is quite rare and valuable. They only made a few of these because the cigarette ads in crayon boxes resulted in the public boycotting the Sweet Cap brand. I think Matthews 30-50k estimate is right on the mark. Rick

This ones the rare borderless, nameless variation. Is it Zach Wheat or just a look alike? Perhaps we'll never know. |

I sold that card a week ago, with the disclaimer that it was trimmed ...

Chris, you sold the Durham to this guy? I assume you also sold him the other T206 that he had listed. So, again I give people too much credit. I bet the price he paid meant he was going to make a nice profit if he got action on the original openning bids which came to $70 for the three.
