Default Real low life

I can't believe this seller white out the qualifier, you would think if he was going to be dishonest he would do a better job of it at least.

Is that the qualifier that is "whited out" or the cert #?

Default Could be a cert#

It looks like it could be a cert # where the last digit is a zero, that was interupted by the white-out. At first glance it does look like a parenthesis for a qualifier though.

Wouldn't it be a 2 ( )?

That looks like a partial zero.

I think that's the cert # too.

I don't see the problem, I have blacked out certs on some odd ball cards. Seller has good feedback even if it isn't for prewar stuff.

I'm curious. Is the "cert blocking" to protect someone else from using that number on a fake/altered card, or lowered grade one they may be offering?

I think cert blocking is to prevent someone from adding the card to a Registry set without really owning the card.

Thanks. I know it may have seemed obvious to some, but wasn't to me at the time.

Makes sense. Guess I never considered that. May have to start doing that for my auctions.

Because the followup to that is that once you buy a non-cert blocked card and try to add it to your Registry set it will be rejected if someone has added it to their set.

Peter??
