1984 Star Michael Jordan BCCG 9
I'm picking up a 1984 Star Jordan BCCG 9. What would the value of this card be? I will have scans in the next couple days. Thanks

I had heard that BGS was grading Star Co. cards, but BCCG?

BCCG grades a bunch of Star cards. There are some on ebay at the moment.

You need to realize that BCCG are NOT graded cards, they are an encapsulation service where the cards are given a cursory glance and an ESTIMATED number/condition range. The cards are NOT graded.

Exactly. BCCG is an inferior service. A BCCG 9 is more like a PSA 4-5, IF it gets a numeric grade at all!

Hope you're not paying too much for the card, as my understanding is they have pretty much flat-lined since the mid-'90's. The reason for that was that too many collectors began to feel that insofar as the #101 rookie was concerned, of the original 4,000 print run, seemingly 14,000 or so had survived!
Good luck with the card, Larry |

Jordan still sells
Nice copies graded by BGS are still in demand. One BGS 8.5 just sold for $3400 on ebay. I would only buy BGS or SCD copy.
