Default Are There Any Autographed Football Card Collectors Out There?

Just curious if anyone collects autographed football cards?
Have you been able to complete a set?

It seems that football autographs are REALLY hard to find. There doesn't seem to be any large reputable dealers with any kind of inventory (always plenty of baseball!). Also, a lot of the football players from 1980 and earlier don't sign or do shows...and how about the cards that feature more than one player (like the leader cards or the dreaded Team Leader cards that picture 4 players and sometimes as many as 6 players!)?

I have been assembling an autographed 1978 Topps football set for many years...very close to completing it. I am always looking for nice, bold, solid autos to upgrade what I have and, of course, the cards I am missing. I just recently met Larry Seiple, who was kind enough to sign a few cards for me.

I have also dabbled with the 1967, 1968, 1969 and 1976 sets. They look so sharp with a nice, bold signature!

I've done quite a few requests through the mail with so-so results. Every so often, I actually receive some of my requests back that I mailed from 2-3 years ago!

Interested in 1978 Topps football autographs

I have several hundred that I have collected over the years including a few multi-player ones.

Are you actively trying to complete a set? Do you ever send requests through the mail?

Here are a few from my 1978 set:

Who would want football cards all messed up with ink and marker? Such a silly thought . . .

But then again, I'm just a silly kinda guy!

I collect autographed AFL card sets. I am about 95% complete for the decade, but have yet to complete a full set. You can see my stuff HERE

Julian,

You can try Rich Albersheim or Ron Gordon. I have bought several really nice ones from them over the years.

Charlie.
