houser was the man. totally different monster w/ jimmy, for sure.

I dig the mule as well. grew up listening to the dead and probably what drew me to panic.

I do like listening to phish as well. probably only seen 10 phish shows, something about the majority of their fans freaks me out a lil.

I will say they do bring higher caliber guests and take it over the top venue and creativity wise. of those 10 shows ive seen, they were:

1. fenway park. I sat on 1st base.
2. Brooklyn and jay z came out.
3. sitting on broadway and seeing them on top of the david letterman marquee.

I do have a good phish joke though: (disclaimer: it's just a joke)

q: what's the hardest thing about listening to phish?

a. telling your folks you're gay.

Toured around in the 90's, and early 2000's, following them. Me and a buddy would sell tons of WSP t-shirts in the lot to pay for our trips. Had a ton of fun doing it. Growing up in Athens, Ga. I saw them from day #1 on. Caught every New Years Eve show for a decade + dating back to the Fox and the long run at Phillips Arena.

WSP are huge baseball fans too.

Phish is bigger in the North and WSP is bigger in the South.

Default I actually

both love and hate Phish. Not a fan of the vacuum or Gordon, Love Trey and Page and Fishman is good when he stays behind the kit. Not a fan of their silliness but i know thats part of who they are. Saw the Jay-Z concert mentioned above it was a killer show for the energy even if 2004 wasnt their best time, i felt the earlier shows far exceeded the later ones in that year. Like I said above I really like Panic, more of a deadhead but have plenty of Live WSP.

took a few days to dig out, but not sure if any of you guys have seen these cards. they hand them out at the mann in pa. funny story, on the panic one...lil old lady was in charge of handing them out and just handed me the rest of her stack as she was a lil freaked out! (so, if anybody wants one, lemme know. I have a few I can spare)

thought ya'll might appreciate them! I know I have a willie nelson, rat dog and phil and friends card somewhere as well. just hadn't located them yet!

Two things...

1. LOVE Joe Panik. (go Giants!)

2. Here's a Widespread Panic poster I created... I'm also currently working on another one for this summer's tour.

Cheers!

I'll post something when I finish...

I'm not from New Mexico (I'm from the San Francisco Bay Area) and have only driven through, but it was pretty amazing and I'd love to go back and see some more. The Gorge is incredible (went Sasquatch Fest where I did a poster for a band), Greek Theater in Berkeley is pretty awesome, too.
