The initial runs of the ACC list it at $50, so I would guess less than that. Or do you mean in the last few years, etc.?

There was a really, really damaged T206 Honus Wagner (portions missing) that must have been the cheapest example.

how could anyone really know the answer to this? I heard someine in 1970 paid $18 for one of them. How far back are we talking about. Wonder how much and autographed one would bring if Honus years later would have signed one?

I guess you can say something 1 cent for the pack in 1909.

I think Barry Halper use to own 4 Wagners at one time. Thats just crazy !!

There was a fake Wagner burned to a crisp that made the rounds on eBay regularly for a while. But there also was a genuine Wagner that was in similarly bad shape (don't know that it was burned) that made some headlines when it was auctioned several years ago. There was a write up about in Beckett.

I know one person who found one at a garage sale in the 80s along with a treasure trove full of other T cards, if you divide what he spent by how many cards he got he paid under $1 for the Wagner. I'm sure there are many other similar examples of this happening. A few people have even lucked into finding Wagners. There was one once found in the inside of a church tacked in the wall and was recovered when tearing down dry wall with other T206s, all thumb tacked to the inside of the wall.
