There's stuff that won't be on the lists because it's not really cataloged.
Being a star, there's going to be the usual assortment of Broders. Hall of fame induction day covers lots more than shown on this page. Plus 1983 world series covers. http://baseballstamp.blogspot.com/se...l/Cal%20Ripken Varieties in most late 80's -early 90's sets Mostly uncataloged, but still there. 88Score - 3 different die cuts Most Upper deck - different holograms Topps - some with back ink that reacts to UV or not. Especially 91. Promotional items from various sets, especially the small regionals. Ads he was in, both in magazines etc and sunday paper supplements. Promotional items from products he endorsed. (I have some cups from some drug he endorsed, maybe a notepad or two too. ) There won't be a list for most of that stuff, there may be a few lists that cover some of it but I doubt it will ever ALL be listed. |

I had no idea they made that much stuff for that promotion. I'm also glad someone remembered the name of the medicine before I had to hunt around for my partial sleeve of cups. I'm really impressed with collections that focus on one player. I've never been able to have that much focus. |

Nice selection Tim. I really like that last game photo with Jeter.
Here's a Nascar pin I have. img164.jpg |

IMO the Streak somewhat unfairly defined him. He was a top 5 and possibly a top 3 SS independent of the Streak.

no coke bottles celebrating the streak?
but seriously Ripken also was known to have more stances than most politicians in his area.. Last edited by 1952boyntoncollector; 09-19-2018 at 07:25 AM. |

IMO The Streak was only ONE of the things that defined him.
He did change the position of shortstop opening the door for players like Jeter and Arod. 3000+ Hits and 400+ HR i pretty defining. ROY and 2X MVP says something. All-Star all but his rookie year. Multiple Gold Glove and silver Slugger awards. I do think though that The Streak was the single thing that most defined him amongst the casual fan. |

Tim---impressive trove. I do not collect him per se but have all his regular Topps cards, and any of his Topps insert or test issues through 1994. I also have collected Topps Player Tribute issues

Pretty sure a list of Ripken, Jeter, Ryan, guys like that could be books in themselves. Either Beckett or Trading Card DB is only going to have 95-98% of what's out there. The interesting stuff is the other few percent.
