Default E93 & E95 numbering?

Why is it that grading companies do not put card numbers on their flips for E93 and E95 issues?

There is a checklist on the back of each card that numbers each card in the set...

Default well

Maybe because they are such small sets and each full set is checklisted on each respective back, it would be a bit redundant? Otherwise, not sure. regards

Perhaps because the card itself does not have a number.

Default Catalogs

It seems the catalogs established the rule that these sets (E93, E95, E96,E102, etc) with the players listed on their backs do not qualify as being numerically identified on the card, even in cases like the E95 set which have numbers associated with each card on the back, and thus they listed them alphabetically in the catalogs. A standard was thus set, and I believe the grading companies just followed their lead. I have always arranged them in my collection according to the list on the back of the cards--alphabetical is for catalogs, grading companies, and soup.

I keep mine in alphabetical order just because it is quicker to find the one I am looking for that way, and they are such small sets.
