... that looks like this? Never seen a ghost image on a Wheaties card before!

I would call that more a wet-sheet transfer, like you see on the Jackie 1948 Leaf cards.
It looks like the card was stacked on top of another, but it was still wet.

I never really understood the difference between a "ghost image" and a "wet sheet transfer". Don't they both happen the same way?

Ghost images are usually from the printing process and are oriented the same as the card. Wet sheet transfers are transposed (backwards) on the backs of cards, since they're caused by the card below it drying on the back of the previous card, causing a mirrored effect.

They got a nice price for it but it's a cool one. Too bad it wasn't a complete box as the entire inside would have had a transfer of the dark blue if this happened!
