I am surprised no one has mentioned it yet. I picked up a lot of Fro-Joy Ruth cards for less than my max bid. So much for shilling.

I won one lot for $500 + under my max bid. This was my first time bidding with them as registration was free; I would bid in their premium auctions but refuse to spend $75 on a catalog I have no use for.

congrats dd, i think you'll be getting their catalogs from now on.

i am soooo mad at myself for drinking a bottle of wine at dinner last night. "the bottle" caused me to fall asleep and miss the extended bidding. there were numerous lots of interest and those all went under what i would have bid.

it's the bottle's fault!

i wish, in this case, that mastro would end their auction at the same time....instead of the 30 minute rule.....as i woke from my slumber at 12:00 am with all my lots closed

I had a bid on an Americana item and was thinking of joining in on the late bidding - but it went higher than I wanted to go...

No gotta haves this go around, though I'm bummed that i didn't find the Red Sun backed S74's until after the initial bidding deadline was done. I'm not a silk collector, but based on rarity alone, I think someone did very well.

I guess i need to read the catlog more carefully, though i swear i went through it five time front to back.

Better to fall asleep and blame it on the bottle than bid wildly and blame it on the bottle!
I won a Leaf Boxing set (I'm blaming Adam's book for that) and the small lot of '51 Topps panels and wrapper.
This one seemed a little thin compared to the last Collectors auction- plus I never got a catalog for this one.

Andy, I thought sure you'd get the Red Sun Silks! But I can believe the wine story, we did our fair share last year at the National in Chicago!

Griffins, if you are interested in trading or selling any of the Ringside panels shoot me an email at b.butcher@ssss.com

I, got; my "shorts" outbid! off, on the ?Hawaii (Five-0 badge. . .,

P.S. I, too, hate the 30-minute rule. Although not often, I have better things to do than sit in front of the computer all night for an open-ended "auction."

Edited to appear as if I'm proofreading my work.

brent,
nice pick ups!!! the masterson is a beauty!

the wine didn't ko me, but it did knock me out long enough to miss the auction....about a half hour too long.

i'm not sure i would've won the silks, but the lot would have gone higher....much higher.

i'm still reeling from the roditis last summer

I won lot #33, so I'm happy.
I was hoping to win a few more, but my bidding partner got loaded and passed out.
