Im marking it down on my calendar! It will very exciting to go and see what the show is like. I really need to try and get to some local shows to kind of ease my way into it.

I hope the O's are in town. It would only add to the experience checking out a game and hitting up Boog's joint. Can anybody recommend a nice hotel walking distance to the show? Thanks in advance!

Best,

Andy

I'm counting down the days to the best National ever. Hope the Oriioles are in town. Most beautiful baseball park in th USA. Best part is that it is walking distance from the National.

I'm also ready for the Net54 dinner.

If the O's are not in town, the committee that picked Baltimore and the dates needs to be horsewhipped!

There are a good number of hotels within walking distance of the convention center. I cant remember the ones ive stayed there several times for the Baltimore Comi-con. Let me look and I can tell you where I have stayed.

Default Cool

After more than 25 years in the hobby, I am planning on attending my first National in Baltimore. I was inspired by Carlton's recent thread that showed such great pictures from this years National.

Looking forward to the Net54 dinner!

Jeff

I wish I could go, but aside from financial reasons, I have another committment that week that takes precedence. Damn it. haha. Well. I look forward to November to wander around the Shriners show, that'll be my national.

Looks like the Orioles will be on the road the entire week of the show.

Wow, that's a real disappointment. Are the dates Aug 1-5 locked in?

No O's......that stinks, I was hoping to attend my first game at Camden Yards. That will be torture.....seeing the vacant stadium for 3+ days. Maybe the Indians are in town, is it too late to switch the National to Cleveland? Or anywhere a home team will be in town?

DC is not that far away, and maybe you can catch Strasburg. If you want to see the World Champion Phillies buy tix way in advance. Philly fans will make this road trip in big numbers.

If you fly in to Baltimore and don't have a car, how difficult/expensive is it to get to the stadium in DC for a game?

Not hard to get to dc. Just hop on the marc train from baltimore to union station in dc then take the metro to the game.

The phils games will be packed for sure so i would also recommend planning ahead.

Nationals park is a great stadium and well worth the trip.

One of the highlights attending the Baltimore show is the Oriole game. I just saw the 2012 Oriole schedule and it appears that they are out of town 7/30-8/5.

Can't believe that the National was scheduled during that time period. I guess I'll have to spend more time walking up and down the aisles of the show.
