Default Clemente Signature Question

Hoping the board can give me some thoughts on the Clemente below. I've owned it for a few years now (purchased from the boards, actually), but had forgotten I had it until I found it recently.

Thanks in advance!

Gut reaction, I don't think it's good. Here are my thoughts. That's a 1969 Deckle Edge card that it's cut from, right? Aside from the signature looking fairly slow, the style looks more like ones I have had of his from the 1950's. I had this card as a kid, it has a facsimile autograph at the bottom. Pretty short window to get this one signed if it's the card I think it is. This looks almost like it was trying to mimic that one, the problem is I think the facsimile that Topps used for it wasn't a current one, probably an old one they had on file. Whats the additional writing below, another attempt at the signature that didn't work as well so they tried again above an cut it off? Lastly, if I recall correctly I think the seller of this autograph ended up being shady and may have even ended up scamming someone at the end. Here is an example I had earlier this year that I could date to the very start of his rookie season in 1955, to use as an early exemplar. Next is an example (not mine) of what one from the later sixties should look like. Hope this helps.

Is this a partial deckle edge? I think this may have been from the guy who was selling all the Walter Payton autos... He also seemed to have quite a few ken hubbs autos...

Thanks guys - yes, I think it may have been from the guy with the Payton autographs. I have in my notes I bought it in 2012. With the $35 SGC special, I feel like it may be worth having someone look at it. It is from a Deckle.

I look forward to the days that I can say "Hey, look, I forgot I have a Roberto Clemente in my collection!"

"What's that under the couch? Oh, it's that Mathewson check."

I don't want to comment on the autograph too much other than it looks a little too labored and heavy. I will say if you bought it from Joseph aka: cardcollectorguru he is a thief and a forger. Other than that he might be a nice guy. Jason
