Looks off to me. It looks like a gray back, but there isn't really any paper grain that I can point to, just the coloration of a gray back. The light chipping on the back edge looks okay, but then there is some white paper showing through at the bottom left, which would be a tell for a fake. Image clarity is a little fuzzy, and the card is slightly off-centered top to bottom.

Can you take it out of the holder and feel it? Smell it? Compare the surface with a common from 1956 Gray backs?

Thanks Swamee. Here are a couple of pics outside the holder if that helps.

I hate to jump on the fake bandwagon for your sake, but I also think it looks bad. The Mick's face looks too washed out and red to me. And the back, like has been said, doesn't look right either. To much of a modern reprinting all around. What was the deal that was too good to be true?

Thanks guys. The more I look at it the more I see that it has to be a fake. Oh well! I bought it off ebay for something like 50bucks. Shame on my for not remembering the golden rule that if it sounds TGTBT it probablyis!

If it's a recent purchase return it for a refund. Ebay and PayPal will both back you up. You might save someone else from being ripped off by this seller.

Default 56 mantle authenticity

Color on the front is wrong, centering and the even rounding of the corners is a bit suspicious, and the image quality itself to me looks like more of a modern computer copy - the detail of the action figure of the Mick making that catch looks sloppy to me, although it could just be a bad picture. That card even in that shape would be $400 or so on eBay, so if you got it for $50 I would be concerned there is a reason for that.
