Default Possibly a cabinet photo of a ball player?

Posted By: Brian

I recently picked this up at a flea market and was told it is possibly an old time ball player. I dont really know because you almost have to know a face because of him not wearing any kind of uniform. I thought I would let the experts chime in and give their opinion. On the back it says who the photographer is and Kansas City, MO. To me it looks like someone who played in the late 1800's but i cant put a name on it. What you guys think?

Probably a pitcher. Position players do not usually look so comfortable in a suit.

Not wanting to dash your expectations, but just being realistic.

Absent some great likeness to that fellow when compared to a known player, I don't think he's a player at all. Just a cabinet photograph.
