Default OT: Any info on RVP authentication services

Any comments on a company called Ripping Vintage Packs that seems to be competing with BCCE in wrapping unopened wax boxes/cases/etc? If they are legitimate, are their wraps accepted similarly to BCCE as far as perceived value, etc?

Thanks.

Default Jabs Family

I think Jabs Family on YouTube recently opened a box ('89 Donruss) from RVP. Seemed legit to me, but I don't have any first hand experience with them. You may want to reach out to him and inquire.

Kurt Christensen is the owner/authenticator at RVP and he's out of Iowa. I've dealt with Kurt for years both buying and selling and IMO anything wrapped by RVP is as authentic as anything you'd buy from BBCE.

Thanks. One additional question: does a box wrapped by RVP have the same perceived value as one by BBCE within the collector community? Opinions?

For the most part, yes.

Just being a few years old RVP is still relatively new compared to BBCE, so newcomers may be skeptical and not be willing to pay BBCE prices for RVP wrapped boxes. With that being said, most who've been in the unopened game for a long time and have taken the time to get to know Kurt and RVP as a company are willing to pay BBCE comparative prices for RVP boxes.

Just my opinion.
