Default Suggestions for Displaying 1940s and 1950s Type 1 Photos

I am building some displays on a bookcase. My cards are out front, but I'd like to prop some Type 1 photos up in the background. I was thinking 8x10 (or 5x7, 4x6 in some cases) Ultra Pro top loaders might be sufficient to stand them up in. I'm not worried about sticking as they aren't modern photos. Anyone here have suggestions of anything better? Light isn't an issue in my card room whatsoever. Thanks.

Vintage photos are usually dried out and sticking isn't an issue. Putting them in top loaders shouldn't be an issue. It's recent photos that are sticky.

The obvious answer is an old wood frame from the same time period. I think photos look better framed, even on a shelf. Looks classier. I've had good luck finding old frames at garage sales.

A double-sided frame that displays both the image on the front and the reverse with the stamping/slug info can be cool too.
