Default action pictures on cards other than T202

Are the T202 triple folders the only pre-1972 baseball cards with live action photos?

The Hardemans have a terrific reference website for vintage issues.

Default action pictures on cards other than T202

I've looked at a few sites including http://lcweb2.loc.gov/pp/bbhtml/bbcardsSets1.html
and another one that had cards of the 1930's to 1950's.
I had also been to the oldcardboard site. It has pages with lots of links but it doesn't answer my question unless I click on every sets link.
Perhaps I missed an area of that site that presents things differently.
Thanks

Off hand...

Scoops from '60 and '61 have both portraits and action photos...

Sports Thrills have some great action shots...

N-172 Old Judge, although not true game photos there are several nice action poses...

I am sure there are others but I have several of these cards sitting on my desk...

There a lot fo action shots in the 1971 Topps set, along with their Greatest Moments set issued that same year. There are some game shots in some of the card game sets from the tobacco era and the T3 multi-player cards could be considered action photos that are colorized.

Thanks for the feedback gentlemen.

Jay,
I meant to say pre-1971! But thanks.

The T3 seem to be drawings, not photos. Correct? I'm looking for actual photos (at least at this time).

have several excellent action photos, including DiMaggio batting, McGraw and Mack horsing around, scenes from the prior world series, etc. Cheap too, except for Dimaggio.

Billy, a few of the 1913 National Game cards have T202-like action shots. This includes an inexpensive one of Ty Cobb.

You might also wish to look into wire photos, news service photos and real photo postcards, which will provide tons of live action shots.

*1909-13 M101-2 Sporting News Supplements (some have action shots, others have posed photos)
*Both M101-4 and M101-5 sets are full of action shots
*Most B&W sets from the 20's are action (Willard's Chocolates sometimes have great action shots)
*Plows candy, and Plow Boys are also good action cards
*and many others (most cards feature only one player in action however)

T3s, and all other tobacco cards are based on actual photos that have been turned into line drawings and colored. I have the full the photo used for Lajoie with building adn everything else in the background plus everything to the sides. It's actually a very nice picture.

the cover of the 2005 Standard Catalogue of Baseball Cards!
There are several cards in the 1953 Bowman set with live action--but not as live as the Reese-Bogardaray (sp?)card.
That IS "Frenchy" B...hugging second base.
