This is a card I did not know existed until just two weeks ago when it appeared in one of my ebay searches. I am pretty certain this is the only nationally issued card of a Lincoln minor league player - where the Lincoln team is designated on the card.

if I had to pick a card, I had my 'Monster' epiphany with this little piece of cardboard. The artistic depth and color quality, combined with the noteworthy character depicted, opened my eyes to the images that are littered throughout the set...and so my Quest has taken a different path than first anticipated!

I have looked at that Old Judge several times over the last hour.

It reminds why I collect.

That is a beautiful card.

Kieth - that OJ Rusie is absolutely SPECTACULAR!!! Amazing image, I am very jealous.

Here is my best pickup of the year, and one of my favorite American cards of all time:

Not precisely a card... But I like it nonetheless (especially the early catcher's mask although it means it is fairly late in terms of rewards of merit). Amazing pickups from everyone else so far!

Man, those are some incredible cards, guys. I'm drooling.

My own fave is more prosaic, but it did restore my wavering faith that bargains can still be found on ebay. A week earlier another set of these had gone for $1500-- I got mine for less than 5.

Rhett:

I was the underbidder on that Bancroft card and if the seller would have had feedback of more than 5, I would have bid like a maniac. I am glad to see you got it. I was't convinced he was legit. Dang, I wish I would have bid more now!

Cat, so you are the one who cost me extra cash huh! (just kidding)

It goes well with the 1914 Zeenut of Bancroft (which is atougher card to find than the 1912), I guess now I just need the Home Run Kisses!

This is my first Old Judge, and I'm quite happy to have it. I am grateful to Eric Kramer for parting with it. I have never been able to figure out how to post an image, so my fingers are crossed. My first Old Judge
