Default O/T: The movie "Babe Ruth Story" makes "The Greatest Bad Movies of All Time," list

Here's the link to the article.

On a personal note, I've seen the Babe Ruth story once as a kid and many years ago on VHS and I'll admit it's a bit schmaltzy, but I didn't think is was that terrible - especially when you put into perspective when it was made. I didn't like the recent John Goodman version since they tried to make Ruth look like a total louse.

Any thoughts on this?

I agree! The John Goodman movie was horrible! At times they made Ruth look like he was mentally challenged. The William Bendix version was cheesy but I didn't mind it for a 1948 movie.

I loved the movie, but you have to keep in perspective that it was made in 1948 when watching it. I've had the bat William Bendix took home from the set since the early 80's and you can see a copy of the VHS at the end.
