Anyone recognize the time period on this one? Looks like late 1860's to early 1870's to me. Also does this look like a Harvard team as was advertised? Thanks in advance!

Early to mid 1870s...If it is Harvard it would most likely have a catcher's mask in the team photo if it were post 1877. One positive is that the photographer was located in massachussets. Did the seller tell you why they thought it was Harvard?

1870s yes, but Harvard not sure, most early Harvard photos I have seen have been produced by Cambridge or Boston Photographers - do some research on the jerseys and see if the same style was worn - still a neat looking photo and most likely college, so you never know

It's not Harvard, and I would guess late 1870's. Very neat image.

I'd say 1870s. White high top cleats almost always date a baseball player to the 1860s-70s. Note the spikes on the bottoms of the shoes of the front guys. With the nice uniforms and manager, it's definitely an organized adult team of some sort. Agree that it doesn't appear to be Harvard.
