Tough night for us New England Patriots fans...but luckily the memory of the Red Sox World Series victory will get us through another tough New England winter.

The Giants defensive line kicked the PATS offensive lines butts. That was the difference!

I am happy to see Eli Manning win. The Manning family is a class act.

Congrats again to the New York Giants fans!

Patrick

I second the congratulations.

I have to wonder, though, if Tiki Barber will get the interview tomorrow on the Today with either Eli Manning or Tom Coughlin.

Brady had that caught in the headlights look for most of the game.
The pass rush crushed him and the real MVP is the pass rush. Brady looked lost and very vulnerable for most of the game.

I don't think you'll see much of Tiki tomorrow. Incredible that the Giants were without Tiki and Shockey -- and improved.

The most amazing part of the game was that New England was playing as if it had no offensive line. Brady was harassed on nearly every play, and sacked five times! That was really the difference in the game.

The Giants did it all year with rookies stepping up, so maybe it was for the best that Tiki retired and Shockey watched.

You nailed it barry, the young guys were amazing. Goes to show what good leaders people like Strahan are. Signature play was Jay Alford busting up the midle and de-cleating Brady, I think I blacked out I jumped up so fast. And the David Tyree play brought back memories of Engram in the Superbowl getting the first down making four guys miss, so good.

As I said, the line was inaccurate!

This lifelong Giants fan is very pleased.

This is divine -- only a few short years after losing the simple and elegant "1918", the similarly simple but wonderful "18-1" appears.

I'm ordering my "18-1" grey hoodie today!

Congrats.... Giants fans!!! I'm whispering, since I'm sure Michael isn't the only one with a hangover... Great defense and a good tough football game. I'm glad the days of the blowouts in the 90's are over, but I'm also happy to see the NFC back on top.
Drink lots of water.. Be well Brian

Rob, that was Mark Ingram who made that first down in the Super Bowl and it's a good comparison. If neither play is made then the Giants have two fewer championships. Another similar play, though not as spectacular, was Steve Smith's first down with time running low. He had to think about both getting the first down and getting out of bounds and he did just enough to do both.

I live on the West Coast, and a friend said to me before the game, "Who would have ever though I'd be rooting for a New York team."

A failure on the field, okay I'll give ya that much. Still, our QB still dates the hottest chicks.

Congrats NYG fans, Your boys were hungrier.

Congrats to the G-Men. That was one of the best Super Bowls I have ever seen. I was not lucky enough to land a ticket (amazing how contacts dry up--geez, you think you know somebody), but partied both Thursday night and Sunday afternoon around the Stadium. Pats fans outnumbered their rivals by about 6 to 1. Didn't get to see them filing out at game's end, but I've gotta believe the local watering holes were mostly full of New Yorkers afterward. Hope everyone that made it down here had a good time.

Can you believe it?
I still can't
G Men win it all
After 0-2 start I wondered if a playoff berth was even possible
Miracles do happen
Let the part begin

OK, it was nice to see NY win. My first choice would have been the Bears and then the Pack but keeping the trophy in the NFC is what's important.

I concur with Richard. Brady was clearly out of it.

As an aside:

I won the coin flip (tails);
I won the team winning the coin flip (NY);
I won the team to receive first (NY);
I won the under;
I picked NY by 1-6 (Nice Odds!!);
The frau had NY 3 and NE 7 so she won a couple of grid bets.

All in all it was a fun game.

The 2007-08 Patriots are the Football version of the 2001 Seattle Mariners.

Best regular seasons ever, and failure in the postseason equal forgotten teams in the history of Sports.

At least now we dont have to spend the next year listening to the Sports Reporters expressing their Tom Brady man crushes publicly about every 30 seconds!
