Centennial Flouring Mills issued these Seattle Rainiers team sets in 1943, 1944, 1945, and 1947. The 1947 issue is much easier find than the others (1943/44 being the most difficult). This regional issue has limited appeal so the cards are not expensive. I tracked all of the eBay sales from 1985 to 1988, and the 1947 cards average selling price was around $25.

Cool cards for PCL collector though, especially Seattle Rainiers collectors. It is one of the few card sets issued during the WW2 years.

The front and back designs changed a little from year-to-year. Old Cardboard has a representative from each year: http://www.oldcardboard.com/f/flour/...cardsetid=1002

Yea the lack of a 1946 year hurts since it meant Blas Monaco got missed, I own a '43 of Eddie Carnett who's still trucking along at 96

He may not have been in the set had Centennial issued one that year. Blas played for three different teams in 1946: Cleveland AL (12 games), Newark IL (41 games), and Seattle PCL (33 games). I have two 1946 Seattle Rainiers programs. The one that shows Blas Monaco on the roster has Jo Jo White as the manager. The one that doesn't has Bill Skiff as the manager. Skiff started the season and was fired in mid June after 72 games. I don't know when in the season Centennial put the sets out, but if it were in the first couple of months Blas would be unlikely to be in it.

I'm not sure what your interest in Blas Monaco is, but it was entertaining tracking down some information on him!
