Default West Haven High School 1924?

Posted By: Roland Harkum

Posted baseball team pic I purchased @ 15 yrs ago at Hermitage Antiques in Harrison, Maine Some detectives have been at work and contacted me with things to look for. I missed the fact that the pic had embossed on it the photographer's name and place: Crosby in West Haven, Conn. Had a guess that this is a West Haven High School team. Another guess is that it is from @ 1924 given the type of the uniforms/shoes. Been told that the shoes are of good quality and type and of the era. Any major professional players of the day come from the New Haven area?

If it's from @ 1924 the only big name from the Conn. area would have been Ed Walsh. I don't see any MLB players from West Haven listed in the baseball almanac.

I don't know where Ed Walsh's son, Ed Jr., went to high school, but he would have been around 17 at the time this photo was taken. It's worth looking into!
