Default The Sports Hobbyist - Nov. 1962 Baseball Card Magazine

Posted By: Brian Marcy

I read all 11 of these magazines on my back from buying a collection in California today and wanted to share a little of them. If you are interested I can scan more pages and post them. Just say the word.

I just picked up a nice run of 1956 to 1969 baseball card publications. Just for grins I thought I would scan a couple of pages and put them up here for the die hard collectors.

The cover of this one is Nov.-Dec. 1962, the ad is from the same issue!

BTW, The Wanger on the cover I believe is the Frank Nagy Wagner (He was the Assoc. Editor of this publication!)

Enjoy!

I wonder if he still has any for $100? Prolly just sold out. Oh well, always a day late, or in this case 33 years.

Frank himself, gave it (and a few others) to me about 35 years ago.
And yes indeed, I believe that to be the Wagner, from one of the greatest sportcard (as well as non-sport) collections ever assembled.

For those of you who never met Frank, as great as his collection was, he was an even greater guy.
