Default 1927 Fairbank Morse AKA Beloit Fairies

Hi,

Just won this yesterday on ebay and trying to identify players. Second row right is definitely Elmer Miller who played for the Beloit team from 1923 to 1927. It was not uncommon for MLB players to play for semipro teams like the Fairies in the outlaw midwest league after their careers were near their end.

I can say with confidence that none of "my" ancestors were Fairies.

I would venture to say that that is not a comment that you would say in person to them. Beloit not only had a baseball team called the Fairies but they also had a football team of the same name that beat the Green Bay Packers twice during their existance.
