Do I like them all?

Hell no.

Should the best to play the game be in the hall of fame no matter what?

Hell yes.
If the electors want to vote against Rose, then so be it. I would disagree, but at least he would have had a shot. Make him eligible, if he had committed virtually any crime except first degree murder he would have served his time by now. Enough is enough of the punishment. And yeah, he is a jerk, a liar, and so forth. Probably a compulsive gambler. But he has been punished for 25 YEARS. Enough.

I understand it completely. The juicers and cheaters basically made a mockery of the records books and were paid handsomely all along the way for doing it. They knew it was wrong but they chose the fame, the money and all that comes with it. On top of that most all of them lied and denied it all the way. If they didn't think it was wrong, why deny it? They knew. Denying them entry is the only real tangible way of punishing them - that's how the writers look at it.

Pete broke the ONE rule that was guaranteed to get your ass in a life long crack, made a deal and then proceeded for decades to lie about it and basically conduct himself in an "in your face" manner toward MLB and he's getting the shaft? My patoot.

John McGraw... throw him out!
1905 - John McGraw, manager of the National League's New York Giants, wins $400 betting on his team to win the 1905 World Series. McGraw had held his team out of the 1904 Series against Boston because of a grudge against American League president Ban Johnson, who had suspended and publicly ripped McGraw for his boorish on-field behavior during McGraw's tenure as an American League manager, but he agreed to take on Connie Mack's Philadelphia A's following the '05 season. Led by Christy Mathewson's three shutouts (thrown in a span of six days), the Giants beat the A's in five games and McGraw got his money and his revenge on Johnson. The winnings were known to the public, and would have gotten McGraw banned from baseball in a later day.

I see that Pete Rose is to be inducted into the Reds Hall Of Fame and they are retiring his number 14. I see they are also erecting a statue in his honor at the park. Finlay Pete gets this well deserved recognition. It's not Cooperstown but it's the crack in the door that surely should swing open for him sooner or later. I just hope it's in his lifetime so that he can enjoy his greatest tribute.
