Default B/S/T Decision

Posted By: Dan Bretta

Well it looks as though everyone who cares has weighed in on the issue and it's easy to see that most folks here would like to see a B/S/T thread on this page so I think we will do it once a month and the rules are the same as you would find on the regular B/S/T board in that no comments are to be made about pricing. If you see a mistake in the listing please contact the seller by email...we don't want discussion in the B/S/T thread. We also would like to keep the items to circa 1960 and older, but I think there can be some leniency here in that I have no problem if someone lists say a nice pinback, pennant, ticket stub, et cetera from the 1960s. I really think we don't want to see anything later than 1970 for sure though. Also you should put a scan of the item you have up for sale or trade if possible and let's try to keep the scans down to a minimum size. If you have problems scanning or you would rather people email you for a scan that would be fine too. Thanks.

Anyone who would like to start up a February B/S/T thread may do so at any time since we are so close to the end of January.

Let's have fun and keep it clean and friendly!

Default B/S/T Decision

Posted By: Paul Muchinsky

Dan,

I warned you I am computer-stupid. What does B/S/T mean? A serial murderer in Kansas was recently caught who went by the name B/T/K (Bind/Torture/Kill). What have I gotten myself into here? Over the weekend I excitedly told my kids (now in their mid-30s) that I had boldly taken my first step beyond email and joined a chatroom [that's what this is, right?] with fellow pin collectors. My son (a lawyer) tells me: "Be careful, Dad. They are probably a bunch of 14-year old girls pretending to be 40-year old men".

Or is it really "Danielle"?

B/S/T isn't a serial killer's acronym it stands for Buy/Sell/Trade. Also this is more of a "forum" that you are participating in. A chat room is generally in real time where folks go back and forth with questions and answers and is not a permanent space........and again, it's real time. We have a chat room part of this board where folks go to talk but the forum generally will have more information than only back and forth chat. Hope this helps a little....best regards ....you are definitely getting there ....

Leon,

1. I kind of assumed it stood for Buy/Sell/Trade, so I was just funnin' a bit.
2. I really did think this was what they meant by a "chat room".
3. I don't think I'm "getting there".

Paul,

You've got a good sense of humor. I had a good laugh over your post. Gotta run or I'll be late for 2nd period.

Paul. Just remember to hit the Google button on your email machine and all will be fine.

I'd like to start the first BST thread by "buying" the top 200 pins from Paul's collection, six more oversized pennants from Mark, Aaron's trophy (the guy holding up the ball), and Dan's best panorama.

I would appreciate it if each of you would email me for my shipping instructions. We can work out the money thing once I have the items displayed in my office.

Wow...I like this BST thing.

Hey Mike, as soon as eveyone sends you the items you mentioned I am going to "trade" you my wheat-back penny collection for all that useless junk.

Seven wheat-back pennies for a trophy, a couple of pennants, some pins, and a large photo seems like a pretty good deal to me. All that stuff is just going to collect dust in your office anyway.
