So this card would have pulled a 6 if it were centered? LMAO!!! VG as a raw grade is being generous.

As for the person saying that it would be a 6 if it were centered he obviously has no clue about PSA grading standards They are using the logic of the
"two grade drop" for the MC qualifier
that PSA uses on the Set Registry
and assuming that if it were not miscut
that it would grade 2 levels higher,
but they have it backwards.
The removing the qualifier moves the grade
BACK DOWN to the actual grade
that would take into account the qualified issue.
(ex: PSA 9oc means that it is a MINT card in all respects
EXCEPT that it is Off-Center - so without the qualifier it would
be a PSA 7, but would never go UP in grade without it....
and if this 9oc Was not off-center then it would be a 9 that is all
that is what the 9oc means.)

You are correct, but then given PSA's recent track record, my logic is more in line with how they are currently operating.

What do you have to do to get a grade like this, have a famly member work for the grading company. As of lately I have seen alot of bad grading and the worst was a 1915 cracker jack "Chase" that was a reprint and graded as authentic. Had to be a family member!

Is there some way we can tell which PSA cards are newly graded? Is it by the serial #? I know this doesn't work for SGC because they use invoice #s and they could be ssitting around awhile before being used.

Lee you can tell by the size of the bar code this card has a taller bar code and is newly graded also #'s that start with 4 seem to be newly graded

I have found that if the hologram on the PSA logo on the reverse mentions that the company Collector's Universe is a NASDAQ company, then it must be relatively new.
