Default Finally Finished One.Or should I say Two.

With my pickup of Buck Hooker's T210 tonight I finally finished Series 2 of the T210 Set.I have been actively searching for his card for about 18 months. This was the 3rd auction I have come across in that time with two of the auctions being of the same card.I had to pay a little more than I was comfortable with coming in to the auction but figured I could handle overpaying a smidge more than losing out again.Makes me wonder if its a short print or if they are stuck in collections.I see T210's of Southern Leaguers popping up in T206 runs so I assume those examples have more of a following amongst collectors.

Here is the link to my set registry.I have pictures of 85 of the 87 for your viewing pleasure. The Schrader and Bonner are currently on the way to SGC.Thank you to everyone who has helped along the way.Alot of board members have helped me with this series/set.In particular thank you Val K for that very first Red Border Beauty."Handsome" Guy Titman.I have had so much pleasure collecting and researching this set. Thanks Everyone

Hi Jason,
Congratulations on your accomplishment and for the kind words. I had this Hooker card on my eBay watch list, as I had no doubt that you would be bidding on it from the moment I first saw it. Really nice card - great centering on the front - I'm not real surprised at what it sold for - It's hard to get a 5 grade for a T210, especially from SGC. It took me a lot longer than it took you to complete the T210-2 set. I hope you will continue to pursue the completion of the 7 remaining series of "the real monster" with the same amount of zeal.
Best,
Val

Jason

Congratulations on finishing your set!

Nothing wrong with paying a little extra for a nice looking Hooker!

Sorry, I just had to say it.

Jason,

Just finished flipping through your gallery. Pretty cool to see the whole series (okay, less the two you mention) in order like that. I really like how the black & white images play off of the bright borders in this set. Interesting to see the variation in the size of the border from one card to the next, too.

Congratulations on completing the series!

Regards,

Richard.

Buck Hooker is the only T210 Subject I have come across so far that was born, raised, and passed away in Richmond,Va.Being the hometown boy kind of makes it ironic he was the last one acquired.

Val I am going to continue forward with the other Series.I promise not to lose the zeal.I have a nice chunk of Series 1 going so that's probably the main focus now.Heres hoping to get to 639 one day.

Thank you Jantz,ABravefan, and Richard for the nice feedback.I agree Richard there's something about the black and white I just love against the red.Definately makes them pop.Jantz I will always pony up the dough to get a better looking Hooker.Helps with the guilt in the a.m. If she was pretty......

Jason - That is simply awesome. I think my favorite threads on here are when people share thier experiences finishing a set. This feeling of "completeness" just radiates thru these threads. T210s are awesome Id love to start this thing someday, but probably wont due to its overwhelmingly large size, scarcity and associated costs but have loved the look of these from day 1. Good luck on series 1...
