Default signed cards trends

I collect signed cards of HOFers on pre 1961 cards. Over the years I have passed up some I thought were overpriced and then when rookie card prices went through the roof I couldn't justify spending $400+ for a 48 Musial or $800+ for a 49 Snider, and now Musial has doubled. I have many 33 Goudey etc but now prices of even the common HOFers like Terry, Cronin etc have gone up exponentially and the T206's even like Marquard also have.
Do you folks see these trends continuing. Will I kick myself in 5 years if I do not pick up the Musial or Snider type cards now? I do not do only rookie cards and even the non rookie like early 50's Berra cards are very pricey.
I don't sell but will pass these onto my kids at some point so I kind of also look at them as a fun legacy. So what is your opinion of where signed vintage HOF cards will be price wise in 5, 10, and 20 years including the rarer ones? Thanks
