Default December Pickups

Surprised that a December Pickups thread hasn't been started so I'll get the ball rolling with this nice Patrick Moran T207 (Factory 606).

Wow the second of a month and only three pickups and two are t207. Nice. I don't have any recent pickup scans.

I got these in the last few weeks. Finally getting around to taking some pictures. Finally found a lower grade crease-free Flick, and the Huggins is the nicest raw t206 that I've ever owned. Also, put a nice dent in my e96 set. Bought all of them from forum members. Thanks guys!

Really happy to pick this one up tonight. Rarer script series card of the original Dude. Also had a macabre interest in it as the train he jumped from was passing by my hometown.

Default A late November pickup and two early December pickups

In late November, John Rafferty here on the board found this Phillippe on the Check Out My Cards website and got it back with the others. Thanks, John.

265 _ Phillppe photo 265ndashPhillippe_zps9ac56732.jpg

Then in the Legendary Auction a couple weeks back, I was lucky enough that Joe Yanello of joesvintagesportscards.com picked up lot 10, which stated there were "several" in the near complete set that had the stamp of Howe McCormick on them. Joe has been very helpful with my collection and contacted me as soon as he had the cards in hand, and as always, gave an accurate grade and fair asking price for the cards. They were added to the rebuilt collection on Monday.

266_Bridwell photo 266ndashBridwell_zpsaf52e46f.jpg

267_Marquard photo 267ndashMarquard_zps50ee99be.jpg

That brings the rebuilt collection up to 267.

If you've never dealt with Joe, you owe it to yourself to see what he has that might fit your collection. Accurate grades, fair prices and excellent care in packing and shipping.

Thanks to John and Joe, and everyone on the board who has helped with the project.

My latest T206 HOFer, an E121-80 HOFer (Type 3), a couple of Pirate Types, and a PC that I really don't know much about but thought was cool with the advertising on it:

Default George Gibson T206 Hindu back

This George Gibson T206 arrived in the mail today. Surprised I was able to pick it up on eBay last week. Nice front...back has a little paper/glue residue and perhaps a small bit of paper loss. Regardless, I'm excited to add it to my collection. First Hindu back!

Very excited on this pick up from Small Traditions as I'm building out the set!

A good looking "Good" card, though crappy scan here. Was very pleased when it arrived, as the card looks better in person than it did in the auction, where the picture was too dark (IMO). You definitely have to give anyone 2 thumbs up on quality service when you pay on a Sunday and it's in your hands on Wednesday!

its been quite a few months since I've picked up any vintage thats not an auto for one of my 1953 Bowman color or 1954 Topps sets, but I found this (1906 White Sox Team PC) at what I felt was a pretty good price and the fact that it has 3 HOFer's (1 Rookie- Walsh) makes it even better!

Thanks Leon. Despite its obvious flaws, I am honestly thrilled to have landed this one with some (for me, at least) decent eye appeal!
