This is the first I have seen of this auction company. They appear to have some nice stuff, but it should be looked at carefully (what's new?)

I'm looking particularly this item, for which I will start a new thread

Let's see...
1. Last National Leaguer to hit .400? Check
2. 13th on the list of all time average (1000 games or more played)? Check
3. Hall of Famer? Check
4. Listed as "Some Unknown Old Guy" in a current auction? Priceless.

LOL...Good question but I think its a tradition among baseball and football players and athletes in general , as a way of implying friendship.

I never really noticed it until you brought it up ..smile , but a pat on the butt does not carry the same implications as a "prostate exam" ...Give me a break

Maybe Freud could explain it better than I....(I'm still laughing)

I've always heard that the only requirements for being a first base coach are the ability to tell the base runner the number of outs, and to pat him on the ass.
