What are your thoughts about this auction? I think it is real, but it won't grade because of back damage. Thoughts?

It's definitely real and rather ugly. I would wait for a little nicer one myself.

Wait for a better one to come along. Of course if the price does not raise too much beyond what it is now then I go for it. It is pretty banged up.

Yeah, I've just been watching the auction, not bidding. I don't really want it, but the front is pretty nice. I would like to upgrade my n28s as it is, but getting a mid-grade Anson or higher may likely be out of my budget. So....if anyone sees an SGC 10 or 20 without that bad of back damage...please let me know!

On a related note, the seller is selling the whole set of n28s, I believe....all with back damage. Cheap way to get the entire set from what seems to be a reputable dealer!

Grab it then. Although you may have given yourself some competition by posting it on the board Not me, but I'm sure someone will want it now.

Damaged cards are graded all of the time (that is what grading is). I don't see why this one should be refused.

I think the seller's honesty is well documented in his feedback. Also shown there is his relative inexperience with these cards.

One more opinion: the condition of this card is ideal for very many purchasers. You should have no difficulty selling it if one which you prefer comes along.

True, I think I will just conintue to watch.....and yes, I screwed up by announcing it on the board, but I kinda figured that if someone on here is looking for one, they likely were already watching it as well. I have too many other projects going on right now anyway, so I probably should let someone else steal it!

It was tempting for a sec, but I'm working on completing a team set from another issue.

I was interested in the card at first till after I sent an email to the seller. His response was enough for me to wait till I see another come up.

He wanted to know how much I was willing to spend before he guaranteed that the card was legit.

Well, I guess that's a red flag then huh? This is why I get my cards graded nowadays.
