My opinion is that postcard is a photo of Harwell and it is a JD McCarthy postcard. The McCarthy Postcards are suppose to be 3 1/2" X 5 1/16 ". Contact your friend to see if the postcard matches the size of the McCarthy's cards.
Couldn't find anything of a Boyd Carter wearing a #82. With the Argonauts in "59 thru 62, Carter wore #70 or 87.
Sorry couldn't help any further.
There were some 1980 reprints of the JD McCarthy postcards and I believe the size of those are 3 1/4 X 5 1/2, but do not think Harwell was in the reprints.
