Default Interesting article about Topps team cards

An interesting read about Topps team cards. Apparently getting a new one every year was not a high priority.

Very interesting article. Another example of Topps being lazy and using the same stock photos. Thanks for posting the link.

Replace lazy with cheap and I think you've nailed it!

Thank you for sharing the article. The article was an interesting read. I never paid much attention to team cards.

Tell me about it.

Here I’ve always assumed that the team cards actually showed the people on the team that year, or at least as of a point in time for that year. Turns out a lot of the ones I own are years off, and in some cases from completely different decades!!

Topps was debating not licensing the team logos from MLBPC when they put this set out, so they made up their own. They put a lot of thought into it actually.

Oh that's interesting!

There are some "bonus" Topps cards with Hank Aaron, Stan Musial, and more that I never knew about!

Thanks for posting!

Really great article; thanks for sharing. Very interesting to see the names and dates for the different cards. I appreciate all the work that went into the report. I'm going to request a copy.
