Roy Harris 1958 Sports Illustrated Boxing....

I just found a beauty. 1958 SI in NICE shape with Roy Harris on cover from Cut N Shoot TX. I remember reading one time that back in 1958, there was so much mail that was sent to him with just Cut N Shoot as the address that they created a post office due to the volume.

I just mailed the SI to him. He signed for me about 5 years ago through the mail on an index card so I'm hoping he still signs.

Quick Bio:

"In August 1958, Harris was given a title shot by world champion Floyd Patterson. Harris knocked down the champion in the second round of their fight, but was himself knocked down four times; Harris' corner stopped the fight before the 13th round.

Harris then won six consecutive fights, before losing to a (28-1) Sonny Liston. He then dropped a decision to Henry Cooper and was stopped twice by Bob Cleroux."

I love finding stuff like this! HAS anyone written to him lately with success over the past 2 years?

yes, he signed a photo for me through the mail about 2 years ago.

Thanks and yes, I just got my 1958 Sports Illustrated back signed in the mail from Mr. Harris. He also added a few signed goodies of his own! very nice!
