In a typical year, between 1 - 3 P&S Cards hit the market. They also trade hands privately, so the number may be off. I would estimate between 25 - 35 in existance, but it is just a guess.

Like Andy, I have one of these so I follow them fairly regularly.

I believe that there are about two dozen of the 1869 Cincinnati cards in existence...

and then a VERY small number of the other Peck & Snyder cards (as few as one or two each) like the 1870 teams.

So what are they getting today in terms of pricing?? I saw one a few years back that wasnt trimmed in the traditional sense....the double borders were more than in tact and there was some rounding... looked like VG- EX for about $3000....

I also saw a CDV.... those get less right?

Thansk

They are getting anywhere from $8K for a very low grade copy, upwards of $25K for a high grade one. The price of the card is determined by the condition and the photo quality. Both the trade cards and cdv's are selling for roughly the same price.

Is this guy for real????

Nice cdv.... is the CDV have a blank back? Was that bought in an auction? My friend Brian advised that this Website might be a good place to look for a private sale?

The pictured CDV has a Peck & Snyder advertisement on the back, along with the names of all of the players. There are CDV's that have blank backs. One of these sold in the most recent Robert Edwards Auctions for about $16,000.
