Paul Thompson photos

I picked up 3 Thompson photos in recent Hunt Auction. Two questions for photo pros:
1. Can you date the photos from the different Thompson stamps? Blair is 1907-11, Magner, Dolan 1911 NYY
2. These are not dated or stamped other than the Ring (?) What might be source of Thompson photos without additional stamps/dates?

I’ve identified SIX distinct Paul Thompson stamps ranging from around 1905 into the 20’s. It’s not an exact science but in general the photos themselves AND the stamps started small and increased in size over time. By the 1920’s full size 8x10’s were more common with the largest PT back stamps.

The early, small PT stamps don’t seem turn up on the later larger photos. With some research I’m sure the chronology of all six stamps can be figured out to some degree.

There are also several stamps he used while photographing WWI as well, from his "European Photo Service". I have seen some of his classic baseball photos re-struck around 1918 with those stamps.

Right. I’ve seen at least one stamp on his WWI photos that does not appear on the baseball shots.
