Picked up a ton of cards the last few weeks. However, this Nadja backed E104-1 Mack SGC 30 is my favorite. Now, if I can only find an overprinted E104-1 Mack, I will have all three. That D@MN "type-card-collector" on eBay did have to run the price up over $200 on me - D@MN HIM! (BTW - Leon, I am only joking about that "type-card-collector" guy on eBay!!!!).

You rascal. I've been after a T222 of Perdue for about 12 years. If you ever think of selling that one, or encounter another, please let me know...

I met his grandson. He was clerk of Sumner County TN after baseball, it ajoins the KY county I live in.

Story goes that as a kid, he'd throw rocks at squirrels to kill them, then tie them to a stick by their tails, take them to town, and sell them. One day he goes to town with 4 or 5 squirrels, and a fellow asks him, "how much for a squirrel?" Hub replies "these four are a nickel each," pointing at 4 good sized squirrels; "and this'un is a dime." pointing at a small skrawny squirrel. "Well why is that one twice as much as the ones with meat on them?" asked the man. " 'cause I had to throw at that'un twice," replied Hub.

I have some other Hub stories. He was bitter about being traded off of the 1914 pennant winners. He was an avid politican. If you ever think of parting with the T222, please let me know.

With kind regards,

Frank.

This pattee had a terrible scan when i purchased it. I kept my fingers crossed. It has a wrinkle that explains the low grade. Leon, is this the same PC that you have?

The four ball players standing in front are identified by American Memorabilia as Buck Leonard, Cool Pappa Bell, Turkey Sterns, and Sweetwater Clifton.

I picked up this item today, and four others of that set. I probably paid to much, but had never seen any before, and don't know when the next ones might come along.

Love my first Obak, courtesy of tbob and eBay, made sweeter by its Victoria, Canada subject.
Max W., do you know anything about the Victoria team, e.g., when they played, where the ballpark stood, etc?
