Default Beware one Goodwin Auction Item - update

Back on April 24 the following was posted and Goodwin was notified - but they have not changed their description and the bidding is now up to $2988.00

While I believe Goodwin should have updated this auction and SGC should reslab it, the high price is reflective of a very early shot of Ruth. I doubt the inclusion of Hooper would add much if anything to the final price of the piece.

Default Ruth PC

I think that is great research but I would only be buying that PC for Ruth so the error would not bother me. The fact that it pictures Ruth with his coat on is awesome. He pitched that day. BTW_ This is not my item.

Very nice work!

You know, I'll differ from the other guys - I would have been interested in a card that had Hall-of-Famer Hooper on it too. There are fewer Red Sox cards of Hooper than some others, as he was not included in T-206, T-205, T-201, T-202, or any of the early E-card sets prior to Cracker Jack.

Of course I agree that Ruth is the big draw, but I think it is quite material that an advertised Hall-of-Famer is actually not on the item.

Cheers,
Blair

I respect everone's opinion on how this effects the value. I mainly just want board members to know what they're really bidding on.

This is true Blair, however my point is that it won't make any difference in price because having Ruth on the card trumps having Hooper and no one will pay more for it because of Hooper's presence.
