Default Thoughts on this Roberto Clemente signed baseball

Had someone send me some pictures of this Clemente ball they're trying to sell. Any thoughts on it? The ball fits in to the 1970-1973 range so I know that's correct, but I don't know auto's.

Thanks fellas!

I may be way off base on this one, but it looks like a stamped signature to me.

Like I said, I may be way off. Just looks weird to me...maybe it's the photo on this one.

I don't think it looks stamped, it looks like there's different preassure and fading. But I'll ask the guy for a bigger photo, this one is pretty low res. I was really just sent the picture to verify the ball.

Here's a closeup, definitely a better look.

I'm definitely not an expert on Roberto Clemente signatures, but this does look real to me as it looks like other legitimate examples that I have seen.

It also does not look stamped, but instead applied with a ball point pen, FWIW.

I think what's really throwing me on this one is the ball itself. The color on that panel is kinda washed out much like you might see if it was roughed up/game used which kinda makes that auto pop which gave me the initial thought that it looked stamped...which it clearly isn't by the follow-up photo.

Could just be the lighting used to photograph the ball.

The ball definitely looks game used and roughed up a bit, but I'd agree with Lance and say that the flash is probably causing the washed out look.
